Thank you for this! For the past 15 years, I was a landlord for group housing up in the DC area- I lived in my house and rented out spare rooms. These homelessness statistics don't count the "hidden homeless." A lot of times we had friends or family members of current roommates stay long-term in the guest bedroom because they had nowhere else to go. Inevitably when they did, I'd get a knock on the door from the county zoning department complaining about reports that "too many unrelated people" were living in the house.
