OMG THANK YOU. I'm literally you, but 38, and you've just put my strange medical journey of weird discomfort and relationship avoidance into words. I've had undiagnosed stomach, neurological, and skin problems since age 3 that doctors finally think might be an autoimmune condition called Sjogren's. It often affects women between ages 30-60, but because mine started so young, technically my diagnosis would be congenital or pediatric Sjogren's lolol. Two years ago, I had such severe cerebellar inflammation that I was misdiagnosed with Parkinson's. Due to severe fatigue, malnutrition, two types of anemia, skin lumps and rashes, and neurological issues like seizures and tremors, I didn't want to leave the house or see anyone other than my best friends. The ironic thing was that unless someone got up close, they wouldn't immediately notice my hands shaking or my poor balance- I was 5'6, 118 lbs, with an "athletic" body (no idea why lolol) who was frequently mistaken for someone 10 yrs younger. I was disgusted by guys hitting on me because my body was such a source of shame and embarrassment to me.
