I'm an over-dependent adult child! I'm 39, with an Honors degree in English, and had a career for 15 years until I became too sick to work early this fall. I have 3 autoimmune disorders, stage 2 chronic kidney disease, and parkinsonism. I rely on a combination of unemployment benefits and family financial help. I feel really guilty about it and have often thought that my family would be better off without me. I don't take expensive vacations (lol I literally can't crawl out of bed many days), only shop at thrift stores or Dollar Tree, and don't use drugs or alcohol. But yes I definitely still feel like a parasite!
