I have an "ideal" BMI at 5'6 and 120 lbs. I also have a severe autoimmune condition that causes disabling fatigue, chronic malnutrition, seizures, hair loss, nausea, skin rashes etc. My sister is 5'3 and 160 lbs- her BMI is on the high end of "overweight," just below "obese." She is on her state's rowing team and exercises five times a week. I get exhausted and dizzy climbing up a flight of stairs; she could probably bench press me. It's way past time to do away with this laughably boneheaded measurement.
