Ha! I'd never thought of it as a mob protection racket before, but it totally is! The entire concept of "health insurance" defies common sense. We buy insurance for things that MIGHT happen (floods, car accidents.) But we WILL, at some point, get sick or hurt, and die. That's called 3rd grade biology. Clearly whoever invented the healthcare "racket" was chewing on paste in back of the class.
