Cathie Woods represents everything I dislike about Wall Street: its endless, unnecessary labyrinth of stock shorts, corporate buybacks, tax shelters, shell companies, etc. It's one thing to invest a little money in a company and watch it grow slowly over a few decades. It's another thing to deploy a foolish "go big or go home" approach on a service like robo-taxis, which absolutely NO ONE has asked for (affordable and accessible public transit would be far preferable!) As a manufacturer for this unwanted service, she chose the company selling an $80K dumpster that bricks up in a car wash? As for the safety issue, the number of pedestrian accidents skyrocketed in 2010 when screens were introduced in new vehicles. Even safer than driving though? Taking the train!
