Another thing these bloated, overpaid studio execs don’t understand is basic economics. Millions of people directly or indirectly depend on the film industry for part or all of their income. If you concentrate that wealth at the top, the creatives and laundromat owners and local cafes will struggle financially, inevitably impacting streaming subscriptions. My dad’s print shop in DC depended on the movie industry- he printed only movie passes for 20 years, which helped support a family of five. Bob Iger is shooting himself in the foot. Someone send him a book on “Middle Out Economics.” Strike and win!
